Hi, my name is Olivia and I am the owner of Olivia Tuck Beauty- Elderflower Corner Clinic. I started my business in 2015 whilst I was 8 month pregnant with my youngest daughter. At the time myself, my husband and eldest daughter lived in Barnstaple and I was only offering lash extensions, mainly to the military wives who lived on our marriage patch. Due to having two young children at home I only offered two appointments during the day at home whilst my daughter napped and then eventually offered to be mobile in the evenings when my husband was home and not posted away.
I built a great client base and paid to develop further. I was able offer waxing, tinting and I also trained with DFMA to become a makeup artist.
Then we had to move to Yeovil which meant starting all over again! I had to say goodbye to my wonderful clients and friends and build the business from the beginning. This was for only 6 months and then we moved back to Plymouth, so guess what?I had to start again. I worked for a very short period in a salon on the Barbican but soon realised that working in a salon wasn't for me. This time around I decided to step away from the beauty and get a full time job in education and just offer lashes to a couple people and family/friends. For 4 years I worked full time in various schools, learning new skills and exploring what I want whilst working part time as a lash tech from my living room.
Then lockdown happened and my perspective changed, I liked being at home with my children and I soon realised that I wanted a better work/home life balance. From that point I have worked so hard to build my client base, retrain in new treatments and provide a nice space for my clients. In October 2021 I was finally able to afford to build a Summer house in my garden and have my own beauty room. This was a big moment in my journey as I felt like all my hard work was paying off. By November, with huge help from my husband and family the new beauty room -Elderflower Corner- was ready!
This only got me more excited to expand and continually grow to provide great service for my wonderful clients. In 2022 I had the opportunity to train with The Academy of Beauty and Training in facials, electro facials, photo-rejuvenation and IPL SHR Laser hair removal and make the move from a beauty room to a clinic.
In March 2024, we bought our first home and the beauty clinic got a bit of an upgrade. I booked onto my next courses with K Aesthetics where I became fully qualified in Aesthetics.
I now have a range of wonderful treatments, beautiful clients and that wonderful work life balance I wanted.
I am excited for the future and welcome new clients xxx
